Your Big Easy website moderators were busy the past couple weeks getting ready for All That Glitters is Gold, our fundraiser on April 20. We owe you bout recaps and a fundraiser report!

On Saturday, April 14, the Crescent Wenches put up an amazing fight against the Southern Misfits of Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Misfits held the lead for half of the first period until a power jam put the Wenches within reach. The Wenches never held onto the top, though, and lost 122-91.

The Big Easy AllStars traveled to Florida on April 14 to take on Tallahassee RollerGirls’ Capital Punishment. Tallahassee lived up to their team’s name, however, and handed your AllStars a big loss: 270-28. BERG is using the experience as motivation to keep improving the remainder of the season, which continues at home May 12 against Memphis.

Everyone had a winning night this past Friday, April 20, at All That Glitters is Gold! Every silent auction item found a home, smaller gifts were raffled off and skaters dazzled the crowd with the talent show. Big thanks to everyone who came out to make the night a success!
