Apologies for the late post – we had a little natural disaster and lost Internet access (and electricity) for several days!

August 25 brought together the two oldest roller derby leagues in Louisiana for a great battle for state bragging rights: the Big Easy AllStars versus Red Stick Roller Derby’s Diables Rouges.

BERG took immediate control of pack play and never let go. Determined AllStar blockers consistently contained Red Stick jammers, allowing their own jammers to rack up natural grand slams and deny points to the Diables who could escape the pack.

Despite standout play by Red Stick skaters such as Glock Strap, Jams P. Skullivan and Dizz Integrater, they couldn’t out-maneuver Big Easy. BERG holds the title of top Louisiana league with their greatest win of the year: 212-67
