How did you come up with your name and number?
I was thinking of words to describe me and quiet was one word and fast described my skating style (or at least what I am working toward). After I settled on it I looked up the name Quiet Fire and found that it’s also the name of one of Roberta Flack’s early albums.
When did you start playing roller derby/get involved with roller derby? How did you get involved?
I started in Chicago right before Covid. I saw a post from a friend of a friend on fb and it looked fun so I did their fresh meat.
Do you have any short term or long term Derby Goals?
Short term improve my jamming skills. Long term play in a tournament and win.
What position on the track do you play/prefer?
Pivot or blocker but jamming is slowly becoming a fav
Favorite derby memory?
Playing in the running of the bulls mashup. It’s SO hot but also so much fun to play with people from all over who came into town for running of the bulls.

What do you like to do after a game?
EAT and be horizontal
What does your life look like outside of roller derby?
Traveling for work and leisure, trying out different hobbies, live music, lots of outdoor activities with my dog, Nola festivals.
What is some advice you’d give to someone who may be interested in joining roller derby?
Just try it and if that first day doesn’t go as planned that’s ok. Just keep showing up you will get better and you will have a n awesome community around you encouraging you and supporting you.
