How did you come up with your name and number?
During the second wave feminist movement, straight feminists were warned to beware of “the Lavender Menace” in reference to lesbian feminists because they thought associating with lesbians would make them seem like man-haters. So I picked Lavender Menace because I’m a lesbian, a man-hater, and people should beware of me. 25 is my birthday.
When did you start playing roller derby/get involved with roller derby? How did you get involved?
I started in January 2023. I wanted to get out of my house and try something active.
Favorite derby memory?
The rookie mashup. I was so scared, but it ended up being so much fun even though I didn’t have any clue what was going on. Bambi on wheels.
What does your life look like outside of roller derby?
I’m a kindergarten teacher and a printmaker. I watch a lot of sailor moon.

What do you like to do after a game?
After party, duh
What is some advice you’d give to someone who may be interested in joining roller derby?
If you stick with it and be consistent you’ll get so much better. Also, everyone looks cooler on skates.
