The Big Easy Rollergirls AllStars held a closed bout Sunday morning against the Alamo City Rollergirls (who played our neighbors in Baton Rouge the night before).

Hoping for a repeat performance of last year’s two wins over Alamo, BERG woke up ready to fight. The AllStars played hard, but a much-improved Alamo repeatedly put up a wall of blockers your black-&-gold jammers couldn’t get through. A last-quarter spark wasn’t enough to bring Big Easy up; final score 164-101, ACRG.

Don’t be discouraged, dear fans! BERG still has two home bouts to make you proud: the AllStars take on Red Stick in a battle for Louisiana bragging rights on August 25, and we close out the season with a doubleheader September 22.
