SOLID GOLD DANCE-OFF FUNDRAISER!
Dust off your dancin’ shoes and pull out your best gold lame bodysuit for the inaugural Big Easy Rollergirls’ Solid Gold Dance-Off on Saturday, April 6, at The Howlin’ Wolf. Your favorite girls on wheels, the Big Easy Rollergirls, along with local krewes including the Sirens, Organ Grinders, and Rolling Elvi, will be throwing down their best moves in an open dance contest – and a portion of the proceeds will benefit Team Gleason and the fight against ALS!
Come dance your face off with the best dance groups in the city and support Team Gleason while you’re at it!
The audience will vote for the best dance group with their donations, and the winner of the dance-off will be determined by which group raises the most money during and after their performance! The team that raises the most money boogies away with the High Roller award, so if you think your favorite dancin’ krewe has the best moves, come out and support them – and you’ll be supporting Team Gleason’s fight against ALS.
We will have a photo booth, a merch table, a slide show of pure, solid-gold Big Easy Rollergirl awesomeness, and some Big Easy Rollergirl goodie baskets to raffle off. For the hungry among you, there will be food trucks outside (specific trucks info TBD.)
Doors open at 8:00, and by 9:00, we’ll be dancing to the grooves of the Lagniappe Brass Band! Later on, DJ Gangbusters will keep the room moving – spinning the best booty-shakin’ dance tracks from today and yesterday.
